An Introduction to Ore Textures and Breccias - Hosted by Dr Richard Lilly
Ore textures are a fundamental observational skill for geologists at all stages of their career.
In this half-day workshop, using a range of mineralised samples, Dr. Richard Lilly will introduce infill, alteration, and breccia textures. Through observations of these mineral textures participants will learn to establish a paragenetic sequence, which will increase understanding of how ore systems form.

Territory Gold Deposits Core Workshop
This workshop will be held following AGES on Thursday 16 April.
Join us for a hands-on workshop examining Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations drill core from gold deposits hosted in Paleoproterozoic stratigraphy across the Territory's three major goldfields. This session will showcase the lithological sequences, alteration styles, and mineralisation characteristics of contrasting gold deposits. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss how these features contribute to our understanding of gold mineralisation across the Northern Territory. Examples from Pine Creek Central Domain stratigraphy will also be on display to discuss.
