An Introduction to Ore Textures and Breccias - Hosted by Dr Richard Lilly

Apr 13, 2026 | 1300 - 1630

Ore textures are a fundamental observational skill for geologists at all stages of their career.

In this half-day workshop, using a range of mineralised samples, Dr. Richard Lilly will introduce infill, alteration, and breccia textures. Through observations of these mineral textures participants will learn to establish a paragenetic sequence, which will increase understanding of how ore systems form.

For more information regarding this workshop, please contact Dr Richard Lilly on 0497 313 890 or richardlily2001@hotmail.com

There are limited spaces available for this workshop.

This workshop is proudly sponsored by Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG).
